I got the instagram collage idea from Sprinkle of Glitter (http://sprinkleofglitter.blogspot.com/). And even though there aren't many of you, I'd still like you to get to know me. So here are a few of my favorite pictures from my small instagram collection! Enjoy! xx

Also a quick little life update, I'm going to California for the next couple of days and won't be posting much if any! But I promise there will be a big Cali post and haul when I get back!!  Bye! xx

Review ♥ Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer

Hello my lovelies! Sorry for the overload of reviews (and yes there are plenty more to come) but they are just so quick and easy, I've tried so many products that I'd like to talk about AND you guys seem to like them (maybe?!). So here is a review of the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer.

Price: $6
Color: Medium

So the first thing that struck me about this concealer was the price. I was skeptical to try a $6 dollar concealer, but I'd heard great things about it so I figured why not?! Also thought I'd mention that this concealer is made to cover up tattoos, so clearly it is as heavy duty as it claims. And it truly is! It has amazing coverage and I would recommend to people who have especially dark marks on their face, like I do. The packaging is good, and you do get a lot for your money considering the tiniest bit goes a long way. But alas this concealer was not for me (boo). I picked up medium, but it comes out lighter than it looks in the bottle (even though it looks like he could pass for my color in the picture). It also made me break out, and even though I have checked and double checked the ingredients I still can't quite figure out why. But overall this concealer is great, it has great coverage and lasts forever! Don't let my terrible color judgement and acne prone skin scare you off! Definitely try this if you are looking for a cheap concealer that does its job well.
Thank you for reading! xx

Review ♥ Summer Books

Hello lovelies! So today I want to stray away from beauty reviews and focus on one of my other loves, books! During the beginning of summer I went a little crazy for John Green books and read several of them in just a couple weeks, so I thought I'd share my thoughts with all of you. I don't want to give away too much, so this is just my reactiosn to them! Enjoy! xx

The first book I read was Looking For Alaska. I  actually became interested in this book when I saw so many quotes from it on Tumblr and such. It was a very interesting read, I thought and never once was it totally boring which I like, but I feel like this book gets a little bit too much credit. When or if you've read it, you'll understand. I believe its a little bit glorified with its (very good mind you and abundant) quotes. But overall it was a good read.

The next book I ready was Paper Towns. This book was strange, and not at all what you'd expect. At first you'll be like "WTF is going on?!" but then you'll be like "I have to finish this!" This book I liked better than Looking For Alaska, and was also a great read. I think that this is definitely one Green's best.

The last John Green book I read was actually not An Abundance of Katherines (I just needed another book to fill up the space!). I read The Fault in Our Stars on my 'lil Nook. And let me tell you, no other book will ever compare. And no other boy will ever be Augustus Waters. This book was so amazing, I read it in literally two days and I loved every moment of it. It's funny, clever, dramatic with some romance sprinkled in there (and it made me cry too which is hard to do) . I just know I will read this again and again and I recommend it TO EVERY PERSON EVER. I can't rave about this book enough! You just have to read it yourself and find out what all the buzz is about :) This by far John Green's best book.

Thank you for reading! xx

Review ♥ Color Whispers

Hello everyone! Another review coming your way! I've found that many people who come on my blog tend to sway towards reading reviews, so I figured I would do more. Today I'll be reviewing the Maybelline Color Whispers, which are my favorite lip products like EVER! And I'm very excited to review them because I just want to wear them all the time!! Enjoy xx

Color Whispers have been my new obsession lately, and literally every time I go to the store I either buy one or spend way too much time in the Maybelline section of the makeup department. I love them because they are a lot lighter than lipsticks, yet still super pigmented. They are a lot more like tinted chapsticks than lipsticks, so they are amazing for hot, sticky days and for those who aren't comfortable enough with a lipstick. They are also super moisturizing, which is great for my over dried lips! I seriously can not rave about these enough, I love them so much!!

The first color is called Cherry On Top, which is the first Color Whisper I ever bought and I was swayed to try it out when Zoella mentioned it in her Florida haul video (I promise I'm not a creepy stalker I just love her videos). Its a bright pinky-magenta and comes out a lot brighter on your lips than it came out in the picture.

The next color is called Orange Attitude (also purchased because of Zoe hehe). I showed this in my last haul post, and have been loving it! Its an orangey-corally color and very pretty on lips. It suits my olive toned skin perfectly :)

The last color, which I also showed in my haul, is called Pin Up Peach. It is a sparkly pink and I feel like it will literally suit any skin tone--it is just so gorgeous!

Review ♥ Drugstore Foundations

Hello everyone! So today I was having a snoop through my foundation drawer and came across all of the drugstore foundations I've ever tried, so I though I'd pull 'em out, dust 'em off and do a little review! Although I no longer wear foundations because of my extremely prominent and difficult olive-y undertones (but that's a story for another day), I still have a ton left over. So here ya go!
Enjoy xx

Foundation: Revlon Nearly Naked
Color: 160 Fresh Beige
Finish: Dewy
Price: $8

I purchased this foundation when it had first come out, and felt I needed a little change in my makeup routine. This foundation gives very light coverage, but is build-able. It doesn't last very long, but is extremely light. It is great for summer or if you want to have a light foundation day.  Although this claimed to have warmer undertones, my olive toned skin would have to disagree. Overall this wasn't the foundation for me, but I would recommend to those looking for an alternative to a BB cream.

Foundation: Revlon PhotoReady Makeup
Color: 007 Cool Beige
Finish: Natural
Price: $11

Overall I did not enjoy this foundation. First of all it is quite pricey for a drugstore foundation and I feel that it isn't great quality. This foundation has very light, almost see-through coverage and comes off so luminescent that its sparkly. Also, picking up the wrong color didn't help either. I have heard good reviews of this foundation, but I personally didn't like it.

*let me apologize for a gross looking bottle-it was the only one I had*

Foundation: Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination Skin
Color: 310 Warm Golden
Finish: Matte
Price: $10

Yes, I know this foundation has been reviewed to death but the rumors are true--this foundation is great! It leaves a nice matte finish, lasts all day and doesn't rub off or smudge! I used this foundation for months (even though it wasn't my color) and loved it all through out. The only negative thing I have to say about this foundation is that the Colorstay line only carries foundations with pink undertones, which means I can't use it :( , but other than that I would highly recommend this foundation.

Foundation: Covergirl True Match
Color: W6 Sun Beige and W7 Caramel Beige
Finish: Dewy
Price: $7-9

Another foundation I have nearly overused! I used True Match W6 for at least a year, and in my tanner days mixed it with W7. I really loved this foundation because its blends easily, stays on a good amount of time, and for the most part will match to your skin. But again my olive skin just didn't cooperate. The only negative thing I can say about this foundation is that its packaging makes it quite difficult to pour out and mix (it will literally pour half the bottle on your hand) and it tends to stick to dry patches.

Foundation: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup
Color: 320 Warm Golden and 330 True Beige
Finish: Natural
Price: $11

One more of my loved foundations, but this one was short lived sadly. The first reason why I stopped using this foundation is because, like a mentioned before, Colorstay foundations are just too pink--and the whipped foundations even more so because there are less color choices. The second reason is because its first ingredient is dimethicone (a silicone based chemical) and my skin and silicone do not mix, so naturally it made me break out. But while I was using this foundation is was fantastic. It feels so light and creamy on your face, yet has a amazing coverage. It stays on literally all day and-- now here's the strange part--although I did get oily with it on rather than it stopping oil it didn't smudge my makeup it almost sat on top of it. I thought this was strange, but none the less. It also seems to look better the longer you wear it.

And those are some drugstore foundations in my stash! I may do another one of these with foundations that I ran out of and no longer have the bottles for, let me know in the comments if you'd like that :)
Thank you for reading xx

Favorites Summer Nail Polishes ♥

Here are a few of my summer O.P.I. nail polish picks! These are the pastel and bright colors that I wear most in the summer. Enjoy xx

Color: Gargantuan Green Grape                      Color: Do You Lilac It?

Color: Pink-Ing Of You                                 Color: OPI On Collins Ave.
                        (how cute is that name?!)

I hope you found these colors as precious as I do! Thankyou for reading! xx

Haul ♥ Clothes, Accessories, Beauty

While I was so busy the last few days (which I mentioned in my previous post) I had some time to shop around. I think I just have a natural instinct for finding things in stores that I don't really need. But alas! I had money and my hands were empty! And so forth came this haul. Enjoy xx

The first place I stopped at was Forever 21 (my weakness despite how poorly made everything is) after a hair appointment I had a few days ago. And the one closest to my house is two levels, so life is just great there all the time. I picked up this little top for $11.99 on sale. I've been looking for one of these denim tops for forever! This one is a sleeveless denim top with small studs by the shoulders.

The next thing I snagged from Forever was this cute little makeup bag, for only $6.80. I wanted a new one for school that was big enough to hold all of my beauty and girly related things, because mine last year was thin and flat and barely even held my makeup. This one is perfect size, its coral colored with small gold triangles.

I also was in major need of a new wallet. My old one--which used to be white--is now torn and disgustingly gray. I found this one on ebay for $6.99 (with free shipping yay!) and couldn't resist. It also has a little pocket to hold your phone, which is great for me because I'm always running out the door just grabbing my phone when I don't want to carry my purse and end up not having my debit card, cash or ID! So this is just perfect, its small but spacious and mint green.

While I was out shopping with my friend we stepped into Bath and Body Works (which was a mistake because we ended up buying things we obviously didn't need). These cute little travel sprays were 3 for $10 (they're normally $6 each) so clearly I had to grab some! I got Pure Paradise which is a new scent and is very fruity and summery smelling, which I love. I got Pink Chiffon which is very sweet and kind of smells like cotton candy and love. Then I got Country Chic, one of my favorites, which isn't too sweet or feminine, but just mild enough to be a perfect everyday scent.

Because I was out so much and almost always near a Target or Walmart I picked a few little beauty items. I bought the Maybelline Falsies Mascara ($6) because Tanya Burr always raves about it and I thought I'd try it too (review soon maybe?). Next I got two Color Whisper lip products ($6) which are my all time favorite (definitely a review coming soon). I got Orange Attitude which is a corally-orangey color and very pretty on. And I also got Pin Up Peach which is a sparkly pink and I swear would literally look good on every person.

While my sisters and I were at Ross shopping for apartment essentials and such, I came across this beauty. Ross has such an amazing selection of dresses right now I had to stop myself from buying more! This dress was $12.99 and the top is sleeveless denim with small silver buttons and the bottom is mint green chiffon. It absolutely lovely on as well!

Lastly, a purse I ordered from Shopko.com finally arrived! I was in desperate need of a new purse considering my old, brown satchel was--though much loved-- extremely tattered and overused. This purse is a neon pink, cross body and reminds me of a cute little briefcase. I thought this would be perfect for spring and summer months, and also because I wear a lot of muted colors, monochromes and such I though it would brighten up all my outfits! It was originally $40, but I got it for $7.99 with free shipping!

And thats all for this little haul, hope you enjoyed xx

A Little Catch Up ♥

Hello everyone! I know I haven't posted in a few days, and this is just a little post to catch you up on whats been going on in my life and why I haven't been posting! So on Sunday I had a little girls day with one of my friends I haven't talked to in a while. We are in different friend groups (or whatever), but used to be best friends. So it was nice to catch up with her, we went to the movies and did a little shopping. On Monday I was rudely awakened by my family in the wee hours of the morning (7:30 *winces*) in order to drive an hour to Tempe to help my sister move apartments. This included bringing up boxes in 105 degree weather to her second floor apartment for 2 hours. And then to make my day even better we had to drive to her old apartment, fill up both of our SUVs again with all her junk and endure another hour of carrying up boxes. Lastly that day we had to actually move her furniture from our house, which involved me pathetically trying to carry bookcase shelves and such while everyone else carried bed frames and headboards and couches. So overall it was a very exhausting day. My younger sister and I slept over then and the next day we woke up and unpacked all of my older sister's crap. I was blessed with stocking her closet, and she literally has so many clothes we didn't have enough room to put everything in drawers. That afternoon we went to do a little apartment shopping (as if she didn't have enough stuff) for curtains and extra hangers and such. But after was the hell of my entire trip to my sisters. In her old apartment, her roommate had bought this beautiful (and massive) picture and decided to give it to my sister. Like it's seriously huge and I had to attempt to fit it in our camry. The rest of the day consisted of laying on the couch, crying and hanging up crooked pictures. So yes thats what I have been doing whilst I was away from my little blog. Quite an eventful life it seems I have, but most of the time I'm just sitting at home being bored. Thank you for reading about my lame life though, and lots of love xx

Review ♥ Monistat- Chafing Relief Powder- Gel (Primer)

Because of my lack of posting yesterday, here's one more today! Yay!
Monistat- Chafing Relief Powder-Gel (used as primer) Review
$6 at Walmart

(Sorry for my weird scar hand!)

So yesterday I was snooping around online looking for a good primer. I just ran out of my Neutrogena Shine Control Primer (which I didn't like very much at all) and was using the L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base (mouthful much?) which does not control oil. I was in desperate need because my combination skin leaves me dry and patchy on my cheeks and super oily around my nose and on my forehead. I happened to come across a post about using the chafing gel as a primer and decided to check it out on Makeupalley.com. The reviews are about half and half it seems, but I decided to pick it up anyway. And considering it was only $6 at Walmart I figured I had nothing to lose. And let me tell you it was totally worth standing in the vagina cream and pregnancy test section of Walmart for like 10 minutes just trying to find this little beauty.

This powder-gel comes out clear and thick, so a little goes a long way. It spreads easily and smoothly and leaves you with a soft and silky base. After I applied it to my t-zone I went about my normal routine, using NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. I then had to leave this morning to babysit, and let me tell you it was hot--and I had to walk home after. But my makeup stayed completely put. Even after 7 hours of wear I'm still not oily! Although it seems an odd substitute for a primer, this gel definitely works definitely works. I will absolutely be repurchasing and recommending!

Ways To Wear ♥ Denim Shirt

Hello! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was planning on doing at least an OOTD, but I was at a hair appointment for 3 hours (hence the temporarily straight/curled hair) and I was just too tired when I got home. But I am here today and being out at the mall yesterday and shopping around got me inspired! While I was in Forever 21 I saw several denim shirts and I kept thinking of all the adorable outfits I could make with them, so I've decided to show you the ways that I wear my favorite denim shirt! Enjoy xx

Denim shirt: Forever 21, $19

Lace dress: Kohls, $20
Skinny belt: came with another dress from Kohls
Combat boots: Forever 21, $15

Extremely similar to my last OOTD!

Shorts: Ross,
Converse: Ebay, $40

Maxi skirt: One similar to this at Tilly's, $23

Sorry for the disgruntled face :/ I was looking RIGHT at the sun!

Lana Del Rey top: Etsy, $20
Shorts: Kohls, $23

 Skater skirt: Kohls, $10

And here's just a couple pictures to brighten your day. As you can tell I was already over the photo shoot by this time. :) xx

Review ♥ L'Oreal Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner

Hello all! I've decided to do a review today! Recently my sister and I heard Zoella (so of course I had high hopes!) talking about this L'Oreal Infallible liquid eyeliner and thought that we'd give it a go. We picked it up at Walmart for $9, which is quite pricey compared to other drugstore brand eyeliners.

Overall this product was good. Not fantastic, not horrible, just good. The packaging is nice and looks higher end, which I like. It has a felt tip and applies very smoothly and easily. It applies a lot better than most liquid eyeliners, I find. Its not as liquidy so its easier to control and keep your line as thick or thin as you want it (I am notorious for having thick eyeliner--unintentionally--so its perfect for those of you like me!). Its after I've applied it that it starts to go downhill. It claims to last 12 hours and be smudge-proof. But it's not! It runs and smudges when its warm out, leaving you with raccoon eyes. I was very disappointed that I wouldn't be able to wear this in the summer (because its literally 115 degrees every day where I live). If you live in a cooler climate I definitely suggest given this product a go. And I haven't completely given up hope in this product! I will try this again in the winter when the sun doesn't threaten to melt me. xx

Summer OOTD: Out & About

I was out today-- to the dentist (my god it was horrible), visiting my sister, out to lunch, and running errands-- and thought I'd do an outfit of the day. My sister and I found this pretty little spot right outside our dentist and took a few pics :) xx

Top: Kohls
Shorts: Ross
Shoes: Converse

A very simple outfit today, and quite cheap actually. I got my sheer, cream, button down top from Kohls (a small department store) for around $10. I got the loose, black and floral shorts from Ross (a discount department store) a year or two ago for around $8. My chucks I got off of ebay (but for around the same price as you can get them at Converse.com) for about $50. I hope you all enjoyed! I will definitely be doing more of these soon!! xx
